Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for optimal operations during all business hours. Directs the development and administration of controls for all phases of the operations in an economical and profitable manner, while maintaining established standards;
• Evaluates food and beverage operations; seeks opportunities to increase food & beverage revenue, decrease expenses, and maximize department productivity without compromising guest satisfaction.
• Responsible for on-going daily activities, guest services, cash control and interface with other departmental operations’ team members;
• Ensure consistent operation of Food and Beverage operations’ venues including sanitation, equipment, and safety & health standards, keeping current with relevant laws, procedures, and internal policies and controls;
• Trains staff to ensure all safety, cleanliness, food preparation, food storage and alcohol control policies; Ensures all staff provide excellent customer service
• Prepares work instructions, standard operating procedures and routines and is responsible for their implementation;
• Maintains an accurate and accountable inventory of all food and beverage supplies to included forms, order guides, transfer and purchase logs, manuals, etc; performs a monthly inventory of supplies.
• Provides periodically checks to all Food and Beverage stocks and makes necessary orders according to budgets and internal regulations;
• Controls the costs of all Food and beverage stores by assisting management in purchasing, maintaining effective control of profit and loss, and monitoring labor costs by following demand patterns, budget, and local laws;
• Takes care of client’s satisfaction and acts immediately on all customer complaints by taking all corrective action as needed;
• Keeps leadership informed of status of food, beverage, and bar activities by attending meetings and submitting reports; Participates and is active in department meetings, Head of Department’s meetings and Management meetings;
• Maintains the departmental shift log noting any unusual occurrences, incidents, equipment failures, safety issues, disputes, etc;
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 (five) years food & beverage experience including three years in a supervisory or manager capacity. Casino or hospitality experience preferred;
• Must be accurate and efficient, high energy, comfortable performing multifaceted activities in conjunction with day-to-day operations;
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Bar and /or restaurant management software,)
• Communication and leadership skills. Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently;
• Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices;
• Customer-oriented and service-minded approach;
• Proficient in written & spoken English.
