Alter is searching for a Senior JavaScript Developer on behalf of Software House operating in the local and international market.
We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions. Another focus will be the development of all server-side logic, thus any knowledge on Node.js is an advantage.

Main Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Integration of third party APIs
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
- Familiarity with Node.js
- Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
- Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (GIT)
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
