SOS Children's Villages Albania (SOS AL) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and an active member of the Federation SOS Children’s Villages, composed of 135 independent national associations. Since 1995, SOS AL has been operating in social protection through quality support services in the area of family-based long-term care for children and youth without parental care as well as in community based support for vulnerable families.
Our organization participates actively in policy-making and advocates for the rights of children and young people who are at social risk - as stated in the UN guidelines for alternative long-term care. We work closely with decision-makers, government institutions, civil society organizations and social service providers, and attaches great importance to the involvement of young people in decision-making processes.
SOS Children's Villages Albania is currently implementing a three-year project "Youth Employment Enabling Prospects " (YEEP project), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutchland e.V.
The project aims improve employment prospects and active participation in the labour market of 1,600 vulnerable youth in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia. In Albania this project has as target 300 youth disadvantage young peoples that comes from alternative care and youth with social and economic problems
The main objectives of the project are:
1. Local actors are professionally and financially strengthened in their work of socio-economic integration of young people at risk.
2. Vulnerable youth have improved their socio-economic integration.
3. Local decision-makers have raised their awareness of the situation of vulnerable young
people and are aware of possible strategies to improve the situation of the target group.
The main objective of these Terms of Reference is to contract a Company/Team of Experts/or Expert aiming to strengthen the capacities of 15-20 professionals on the 2 Topics: 1. Social Integration of Young People. 2. Systemic Approaches and Integrated Social Services. In these trainings will participate CSO’s representatives, local professionals, SOS Children Villages specialists and YEEP project employees.
