Procurement Specialist

Purpose of Position

Procure and lease any kinds of merchandise and services, for direct and indirect spend categories of the company. The role Position is to perform and execute the purchase of technical material and services, by providing low operational cost purchasing as well as maintaining high quality standards. with a high focus of technical type of procurement.

Main Task


  • Create RFP/RFQ and issuing to the respective vendors. Follow up the process to the final decision;
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders;
  • Develop procurement schedule for products and services in accordance with the requesting department and financial planning;
  • Follow up on all purchase for the products assigned by the direct reporter;
  • "Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid
  • among potential suppliers;"
  • Responsible for sourcing, selection and negotiation with suppliers to achieve the best price while maintaining the highest quality, reliability and service;
  • When requested by direct reporter play an active role during negotiation of contractual terms. Arrange the efforts of interested parties and follow up to preparation of draft contract;
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations;
  • Prepare the documents needed for finance for invoice payment process;
  • Source for new products and alternative suppliers;
  • Arrange for shipment/freight for materials ordered from overseas suppliers;
  • Support the requesting department in evaluating the quality of products ordered and coordinate with warehouse and supplier on return of rejected goods and re-delivery of reworked/replacement goods.
  • Receives and examines incoming request for procurement from direct team leader and determine action required under company's regulations;
  • Prepare the solicitation documentation and process and assist in the evaluation and award process;


Skills
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs and SAP
  • Excellent communication skills, hardworking, reliable, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, good team member;
  • Fluent written and spoken English;

Experience


  • Preferable At least 1 year similar job experience

Education


  • University Degree;
