The aim of the position of Logistic and Distribution Manager is to organize the storage and distribution of goods and to ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way. Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the client to the customer.
The position will be required to manage both strategic and tactical execution of the operations and delivery program, and drive sales results to the company.

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation, client and customer services.
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of the best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
  • Planning routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
  • Liaise and negotiate with business clients, presents in a professional way the benefits of the service provided and offers solutions for each Client, guaranteeing maximum quality of service.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business clients in order to coordinate an effective delivery service.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensure all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
  • Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs;
  • Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to CEO.
  • Tracks market movements and takes immediately actions in order to turn them into opportunities for the expansion of the Company.
  • Involved directly in the process of planning, budgeting, monitoring and implementation of sales plan.
  • Monitors business results and adapts sales strategies, guaranteeing the achievement of final results and increased sales in the company.
  • Set objectives/KPIs, review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. He/ She may suggest additional training for the staff.
  • Guarantees continuous improvement and increase of work productivity for dependent staff and objectively evaluates the performance of dependent staff.
  • Should be constantly updated with the latest advancements and developments in technology, especially in terms of marketing, logistics and transportation.
Qualifications
Education: University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or related fields. Master Degree in Transport Management would be an advantage.
Work Experience: 5+ years prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures. Experience in delivering sector would be highly appreciated.

  • Highly organized, with ability to combine strategic direction with hands-on tactical execution.
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information
  • Makes useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutions

  • Strong analytical skills including attention to details. Very good skills in developing and delivering presentations and demos;
