• Procurement and Facility Specialist

AMD – Lufthansa Industry Solutions is looking for a Procurement and Facility Specialist.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible to manage and direct all the purchasing processes in the company, by following strictly all the procurement procedures. The Procurement and Facility Specialist ensures that every purchase process is done according to the company standards and seeking maximum value for the company through time and cost agreements.
He/She should also make possible to ensure a constant supply with high quality and cost-effective materials in accordance with purchasing procedure and related agreements to guarantee a smooth ongoing of all company’s activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Selects materials/products for purchase by analyzing cost and quality of items in conjunction with department heads. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
  • Takes the requests for purchasing from different departments and ensures it is approved by the authorized staff.
  • Prepares offers based on the requests, presents them for approval to the directorate and then to Managing Director for final approval.
  • Participates and assists in the selection process of the vendors.
  • Prepares and sends the approved Purchase Order and all related documents to the selected vendor.
  • Ensures the delivery within the deadline and as per the terms of agreement.
  • Verifies all materials are delivered as per requests and are conform health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinates with the department’s heads, vendors and legal department regarding to the contract finalization.
  • Coordinates the transport service with the outsource vendors and handles processes in terms of security and internal maintenance


Knowledge, Experience & Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law or other related fields.
  • Min 2 years of experience in purchasing activities
  • Knowledge on IT supplies chain and sourcing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform analytics’ in Excel to effectively take actions as needed and to ensure inventory and service level targets are met and maintained.
  • Microsoft office working knowledge.
  • Good Knowledge of English.
