Engineer/ Technician

In one of its manufacturing facilities located in Malta, which besides the high level of automation of the production process, also has a special R & D, needs ambitious and committed candidates-engineers/technicians.
Main responsibilities:
- Monitoring line performance by collecting KPI, continuously seeking improvement and proposing and tracking proposals in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process;
- Hand over the shift and monitor the daily repairs done during the last 24 hours.
- Ensuring the compilation of daily interventions;
- Effective line intervention, when necessary and with minimal downtime;
- Updating the procedures, reserve lists / inventories and plans for preventive maintenance with the procurement / disposal of equipment;
- Monitoring the stock of all spare parts required for servicing and / or repairing machines and accessories, both for existing and new machines;
- Careful storage of vital parts stored in the maintenance department of the automation in the required levels and making internal orders (to stores) accordingly;
- Technical assistance in other departments according to production requirements;
- Assist in planning and activating preventive maintenance of the plant;Keep up to date with the existing and the new industrial automation and work methods.
Important required qualifications:
- Higher education - electrical / mechanical;
- At least 2 years of similar experience in the manufacturing industry;
- Knowledge of using programmable logic controllers;
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a small team (5-10 people);
- Ability to read schematic diagrams and competency in diagnostics and advanced repair skills;
- Knowledge of line production and preventive maintenance will be considered an asset.
