EDUASPORTIN, Albania’s new and rapidly growing sports portal, seeks a full time experienced Editor-in-Chief (EIC) to lead its editorial staff.
The full time EIC will oversee all editorial aspects of Eduasportin operations and will help us to set the tone and direction for the editorial department.
Daily EIC responsibilities include but are not limited to;

The full time EIC will oversee all editorial aspects of Eduasportin operations and will help us to set the tone and direction for the editorial department.
Daily EIC responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Writing long features, breaking news, and blogs.
- Hiring process of the editors of all levels.
- Creating the editorial board, or outlining, for each of the publication's editions or issues.
- Reviewing all articles and photos for accuracy as well as potential libel, and providing suggestions, if needed, about any changes to make before the publication goes to press or is released digitally.
- Having the final word about which stories and photos get published.
- Generating ideas for new ways of doing things, such as using new technology, implementing ways to increase readership, and utilizing new media.
- Managing daily e-newsletters, a website, magazines, research projects, webinars, video production, and other reader-driven content.
• Following the given goals closely and presenting related reports.
The requirements of the EIC are;
- Bachelor’s Degree (Journalism, Communications or related field)
- 7+ years of related communications experience, preferably in media or digital media
- High personal/editorial standards.
- Excellent leadership qualities.
- Needs to possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be detail-oriented, and creative.
- Previous editorial experience, especially in a decision-making capacity.
- Thorough understanding of digital media strategy, audience development, and social media distribution.
- Expertise in online news business.
- Come up with eye-catching and accurate headlines.
- Energetic and committed.
- Superior presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leader, good sense of teamwork.
- Passionate fan of sports.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse viewpoints and approaches.
- Creative and innovative.
- Ability to tolerate stress and work efficiently even under pressure.
- Firm and prompt decision-maker.
- Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
- No travel problems when needed.
