TalentBin has developed a "talent search engine" that aggregates public data about potential job

candidates based on their online & digital activity (e.g. we interpret their Github commits, tweets,

patents, Quora answers, and so on). We use these “implicit profiles” to help companies find the best

talent that actually matches what they are looking for on more than just their skills alone (“this person

is well respected in the iOS community AND is into running; a perfect fit for our fitness app!”).

We then couple these awesome profiles with a focus on developing next generation search and

workflow (CRM) tools that help recruiters better discover the right people, and effectively build and

maintain their relationships with them.

Overview

As a Front End Developer on the CRM team, you will be responsible for development,

maintenance and optimization of user-facing recruiting tools for our customers at talentbin.com

and monster.com.

Primary responsibilities


  • Deliver high-quality web features to our customers, on time and as specified by the
Product team.


  • Write QA test plans, unit tests and functional tests for the features you develop.
  • Document your work, both in code and in external documentation.
  • Peer-review your colleagues’ work and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop implementation plans for new features.
  • Provide technical guidance and estimates on work proposed by the Product team.
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success and Product teams to ensure we’re doing
everything we can to help our customers succeed.

Job Requirements

What experience should you have?


  • 2+ years professional experience working as a front-end or full-stack developer with a
modern web application


  • 2+ years e xperience with relational databases
  • A degree in computer science or a related field, or comparable work experience
What skills are required?


  • Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Proficiency with stateless web application development w/ HTTP and REST APIs
  • Proficiency with a modern Javascript app framework, such as Angular, React or Vue
  • Familiarity with source-control using Git
  • Familiarity with the UNIX command line and UNIX basics
What skills are preferred?


  • Hands-on experience writing tests for you own code with tools like Selenium, JUnit, and
Mocha


  • Prior experience running applications on AWS
  • Experience with Agile or a related methodology where you deliver quickly, test with users,
and iterate


  • Experience with using virtual machines and containers in development and deployment
