Procurement Specialist
Purpose of Position
Procure and lease any kinds of merchandise and services, for direct and indirect spend categories of the company.
Main Tasks
• Perform market research and identify the most suitable vendors and service providers for sales and marketing products and services
• Follow up on all purchases assigned by the direct superior
• Responsible for sourcing, selection and negotiation with suppliers to achieve the best price while maintaining the highest quality, reliability and service
• Source for new products and alternative suppliers
• Arrange for shipment/freight for materials ordered from overseas suppliers
• Support the requesting department in evaluating the quality of products ordered and coordinate with warehouse and supplier on return of rejected goods and re- delivery of reworked/replacement goods
• Receive and examine incoming requests for procurement from direct superior and determine action required as per company's regulations
Skills
• Technical background preferable
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package; Knowledge of SAP is preferred
• Very good interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
• Fast learner and committed to highest level of professionalism and personal integrity.
• Very good knowledge of English
• Driving License
• Availability to work overtime when needed
Experience
• At least 1 year of experience in similar field
Education
• University degree
