The Healthcare Data ETL Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Importing and transforming and integrating “Big” data from Benefits Eligibility, Medical claims, and RX claims originating from disparate operating systems and vendors
  • Validation and Quality Review of Health and Pharmacy Claims
  • Producing meaningful analytic and reporting for clients and internal data users
  • Managing client level projects for new and existing clients

Qualifications


  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in data extraction and manipulation of medical claims and pharmacy data provided in various formats and integrating the results into a data warehouse or data mart which was capable of identifying medical and pharmacy financial and diagnostic information at both the member and population levels.
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience utilizing Microsoft SQL, SISS, SQL Reporting Services or equivalent tool set for importing and transforming data using SQL scripting.
  • Must possesses strong project management, analytic, and problem solving skills associate with the analysis and evaluation of “Big” data and the ability to explain the meaning and significance of complex data in a way that can be easily understood by internal and external business clients.
  • Must have a firm understanding of medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-9/10, DRG, etc.), the terms and business processes of PBMs, health insurance companies, third party claims processing systems, and other healthcare data warehousing firms.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with client business and technology representatives concerning data format and transfer requirements and the ability to identify medical and Rx “jargon” that could result in misunderstandings of required data contents.
  • Must demonstrate strong quality assurance skills related to process and the transformation of data into consistent, sustainable, and reportable data formats.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and manage projects and deadlines with minimum intervention.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Statistics preferred
  • Ability to telecommute from home based office
