Job Title
Junior Architect – Intern Architect
architecticon is seeking a talented individual that is committed to design excellence
who demonstrates a high degree of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
As an Intern Architect routine architectural assignments will be performed under direct
supervision.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in the field of Architecture is not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborates with project team in various aspects of design.
* Carries out directed assignments and technical design instruction with clear objectives and
with oversight by senior level staff.
* Implements firm, project and software standards on a specific project.
* Assists in product and systems research, documentation and specifications.
* Compiles data, performs design computations and prepares architectural plans/renderings.
* Effectively meets deadlines.
* Build study models.
* Performs any other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Developing problem-solving and creative abilities.
* Developing design and visual presentation skills.
* Demonstrates clear, accountable communication with coworkers.
* Basic knowledge of building materials, components and systems.
* Basic knowledge of integrated design, and sustainability tools and systems preferred.
* Basic knowledge of applying concepts and intent of building codes.
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred.
* Familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
