Job position: Local Administrator at Elbasan Ferrochrome Plant
Department: Management

Summary: The role is a key strategic management position and has overall accountability for the smooth day-to-day running of the Elbasan Ferrochrome Plant operations, as well as ensuring the compliance to and implementation of safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. This position is responsible for the overall development, design, implementation, and execution of metallurgical and chemical processing operations. Primary Responsibilities:
2. Responsible for Plant Operation, Profitability, Commercial Activities, etc.;
3. Develop regulations, policies, procedures and programs applicable to the plant function, and acting as liaison with other agencies & organizations assisting or regulating FeCr Plant activity;
4. Develop and manage metallurgical operations and work practices that maximize operational efficiencies;
5. Evaluate current and potential processing methods;
6. Monitor and analyze key metallurgical performance indicators of process operations and recommend corrective actions to the operations team;
7. Improve plant operating performance; reduce waste and delays; promote cost reductions; and achieve a high level of operating efficiency;
8. Execute cost saving and energy saving techniques/measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M Expenditures and work within the budget;
9. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment;
10. Implement strict measures in operating procedures to optimize resource/capacity utilization;
11. Authorize planned preventive maintenance schedules of various machineries and instruments to increase machine up time and equipment reliability;
12. Proactively identify areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipment through application of trouble shooting tools;
13. Assess the training needs of the various employees in co-ordination with the various operational department heads and HR.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Metallurgy Engineering / MBA is highly desirable.
* Work experience: Minimum 10 years of metallurgical experience, with 5 – 7 years in a management position or senior leadership role.
* Skills & abilities:
· High level of competency in the Metallurgical Industry;
· Strong interpersonal & coaching skills; ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization;
· Proven budgetary skills, cost control and effective reporting skills; Business development skills;
· Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses;
· High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation;
· Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices;
· English fluency and PC proficiency.
