Sales & Operations Assistant
Opening for a Sales & Operations Assistant with a Tirana-based incoming tour operator. In this versatile position you will walk clients through the customer-life-cycle, plan and oversee the successful execution of trips and assist with accounting and financial tasks.

Sales Competencies

Understand current and potential clients' needs and expectations in order to

  • present and sell company products and services on the phone and by email
  • prepare personalized offers for both individuals and groups
  • identify and resolve concerns
  • invoice services and keep track of payments
  • offer seamless after-sales support
  • meet and brief clients in person
  • gather feedback and follow-up after departure
  • create satisfied and returning customers
  • Carry out market research and surveys: monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.

Operations Competencies

  • Create and maintain relations with existing and new suppliers: update details, negotiate prices and conditions, discuss issues;
  • Place and manage bookings with suppliers, from placement of the reservation to payment for the service;
  • Assist to manage the payment and accounting process of the company;
  • Prepare trip documentation for guides and clients;
  • Monitor operational excellence and smooth execution of services;

General Competencies

  • Obtain and maintain a detailed understanding of active tourism in the Western Balkans, products and markets
  • Timely completion of administrative and other related tasks;
  • Creating daily, weekly and monthly feedback reports;
  • Develop and maintain a high level of confidence in both product knowledge and client base;
  • implement all the regulations that are issued by the company;

Education

  • University Degree in a relevant field required;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the same field;

Desired Profile / Skills

  • Proactive mind-set and problem-solving orientation with a sense of urgency, creativity and integrity;
  • Emotional maturity and ability to work as a team, under pressure and with little guidance;
  • Good organizational skills; ability to manage, prioritize and perform tasks and duties independently;
  • Decision making skills; ability to judge situations and take initiative autonomously;
  • Excellent ability in developing and maintaining working relationships with clients and suppliers;
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to reach compromise, persuade and influence others;
  • Sales skills with high concern for quality and detail;
  • Excellent command of English; written and spoken
  • Fluency in other languages is an advantage, especially German and Serbian
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to create, compose and edit written materials
