Our client is one of the leading and most successful insurance companies in Albania. Due to recent restructuring with the aim of enlarging their local presence and strengthening their position on the market, our client seeks outstanding professionals for the following positions:
Chief Accountant (Ref: CA/F)
Based: Tirana
The jobholder reports to the CFO of the company. He/she will have full responsibility and leadership for day-to-day accounting in accordance with the Albanian legislation and corporate requirements; preparing management accounts and financial statements, monthly VAT returns and year end tax closures; controlling the booking of daily transactions; monitoring payables and receivables, preparing cash flow forecasts; maintaining and regularly updating the general ledger; managing the issuing of invoices on a daily basis; managing petty cash and bank payments; dealing with external auditors; preparing payroll on a monthly basis; maintaining contacts with banks and relevant state authorities; keeping abreast of changes in the Albanian financial legislation in view of accounting and financial regulatory issues affecting the company’s business and making appropriate recommendations to the management.

Successful candidates should possess a good professional background in Accounting. Other important characteristics for this role are:
· University degree in Accounting or Finance (Masters will be an asset)
· Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar position (in an insurance company would be an advantage)
· Sound knowledge of Albanian accounting and tax legislation;
· Excellent ability to interpret and report financial information
· Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
· Excellent computer literacy and good knowledge of Financa 5 accounting software

Executive Assistant (Ref: EA/F)
Based: Tirana

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting and providing administrative support to the Executive Director and top management by: assisting the ED in her daily duties and managing the executive agenda; performing and providing support on general administrative duties and issues; coordinating schedules, work plans and priorities of the Director and maintaining oversight of all activities; preparing/compiling materials for presentations for internal and external communication; dealing with general information flows and a wide range of external inquiries via phone, email, fax and post; drafting letters on various issues for Executive Director’s signature and ensuring records keeping of incoming and outgoing mail; answering, screening and directing all General Director’s incoming calls, visitors and correspondence, acting independently when possible; making travel arrangements for the management and staff; coordinating various Company events; performing other duties when required.

In order to prove successful in this job candidates should have:

· University degree preferably from a foreign university
· Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or a similar role, ideally in the Insurance industry
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and information with discretion
· Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills
· Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
· Dedication to the job and resilience
· Excellent computer literacy (strong knowledge of Microsoft package)

Both positions require fluent English and excellent communication and temaworking abilities
