QUALITY ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST
[FONT="]The position:[/FONT]
[FONT="]This position reports to the DTP Coordinator and DTP Lead. The Quality Assessment Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day quality check of the global LocalEyes activity, paying special attention to details and feeding back the teams on their progress. In very close contact with DTP artists and DTP coordinator, the QA Specialist must make sure the final quality to reach the client is error free and according clinent’s instructons and demands. The QA Specialist liaises with the DTP Coordinator, DTP Artists, and Project Management. [/FONT]
[FONT="]Specific Responsibilities include:[/FONT]
[FONT="]Requirements[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Bachelor Degree in Informatics, Design, Economics or similar[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Knowledge of DTP localisation processes and standards used in the industry[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Knowledge of functional aspects of Win and Mac based platforms.[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Basic knowledge of the following applications - BBEdit, XCode, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook or Mail, iWork, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Ability to assimilate, hold and interpret a wide variety of information[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Excellent verbal, written communication skills in English[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Organisational and planning skills imperative[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Ability to promptly troubleshoot problems and deliver solutions[/FONT]
n [FONT="]Able to work in a fast paced, demanding creative and production environment with a multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines. Holistic and flexible project and time management[/FONT]

n [FONT="]Knowledge of DTP programmes for both Mac and PC[/FONT]

- [FONT="]Check thoroughly each file prior submit, paying special attention to file extensions, file naming, folder structure, number of files, localised links, DNT terms, prices and currencies, DTP quality (fonts, sizes, images, titles, presenter’s notes)[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Feed back to DTP Corrdinator and Project Manager on the quality of the files and request changes and corrections from the responsible teams (linguistic team, DTP team)[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Make sure the instructions sent from the client and the Q&As during the life cycle of the project have been implemented correctly in the final files [/FONT]
- [FONT="]Assessing automation of steps, use of checklists, scripts etc to improve quality of deliverables.[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Operate according the previously planned schedule and leave room for no delays[/FONT]
