Albanian Airways Holiday is pleased to offer you the position of Tour Operator in our Sales Department with the following detailed information:
Job Description:
Main purpose of the job: Tour operators are responsible for organizing and preparing holiday tours. They follow trends in the popularity or destinations and packages, and adjust company plans accordingly.
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Completes travel arrangements for client with air, hotel, car, tour, cruise and ground transportation vendors at the lowest possible fares. Utilizes preferred vendors to maximize profit for branch and parent company.
• Follows company procedures, guidelines and standards in the areas of customer service, building Passenger Name Records (PNRs) and profiles, ticketing, utilization of front room Computer Reservation System (CRS) productivity, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing etc.
• Participates fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client, including ticket processing, clerical functions, prepaid tickets, debit memos etc.
• Researches and provides solutions to travel-related problems clients may have experienced with arrangements provided them by customer service referral.
• Is fully informed and stays abreast of all airline rules and regulations-Tariffs (domestic) and other industry requirements and accurately applies this information when making travel arrangements.
• Maintains a high level of competency in operating the CRS
• Attends staff and training meeting for ongoing updates in the travel industry and office procedures.
• Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significant and takes prompt corrective actions where necessary or suggest alternative courses of actions which may be taken.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
• Advice customers on current travelling conditions.
• Advice customers of cancellation fees/penalties.
• Plan customer travel and itineraries, ticketing and booking functions.
• Reviews itinerary with customer to ensure dates/hotel/car are correct.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Graduates with degrees in leisure, travel, tourism, management, marketing, IT, business, languages or hotel and catering management may have an advantage.
• Pre-entry experience gained working with the general public or within the hotel, tourism or travel trades (particularly overseas) are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of World computer system and domestic and international reservations including routing and fares.
• Strong customer service attitude and the ability to work with VIP business travelers.
• Must have understanding of doing ticket exchanges.
