Required Qualifications

• Sound understanding of fiber network planning & design
• Very good knowledge about transmission and GSM Network (PCM, multiplexing PDH, SDH, optical fiber and PDH and SDH Mw Transmission)
• Solid knowledge of detailed 2G access transmission network design including path calculation (link budgets, path profile etc), capacity planning, protection of BTS-BSC Links and MW frequency planning with Asset/Connect or Path Loss planning tool.

• Ability to climb and survey antenna support structures (roof-tops and towers).

Main responsibilities of the position
• Undertake the dimensioning and planning of all GSM network transmission systems, leased or otherwise; including microwave, fiber optics systems, and other transmission technologies such as HDSL links, LMDS etc.
• Conduct analysis of traffic load on individual transmission links and recommend required expansion upgrade.
• Planning activities for SDH microwave backhaul onto the dark fiber network and good knowledge of IP planning, Routers and LAN Switches.
• Analyze Fault Reports on Transmission systems and its constituent parts and recommend actions to rectify faults as necessary.
Expert (KESH relations)
Required Qualifications

• Ensure appropriate installation and functionality for the electromechanical equipment
• Responsible for new KESH power lines, LV Power Line Acceptance, MV Power Line and Transformer Cabin
• Supervise all electric equipments and lines.(transformers, generator, different electric panels etc)
• Prepare site documentation files for the installations or acceptances done by him or his group
