Under the direct supervision of the Head of Finance Department and the overall supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Treasury Manager is a key member of the Finance Department. The primary responsibility of the Treasury Manager is to ensure the optimum running of Treasury-related activities and to Treasury support for all Business Units of the Company under his/her charge. This function is critical to ensure a high level of treasury services to all business units, and to continuously strive to increase the efficiency of Treasury activities. The Treasury Manager will be also highly process focused and will ensure that the appropriate controls and procedures are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintaining and improving the appropriate treasury and cash management infrastructure in the HQ and Business Units of the Company so as to ensure smooth daily operations of domestic banking and cash-pooling activities;
2. Work closely with the business units and the chosen partner bank to maintain and seek continuous improvement in the cash management structures;
3. Ensure that all banking and cash-pooling activities are running smoothly to support business requirements;
4. Work with business entities to define their needs and to reorganize their cash management processes according to their requirements and in line with Treasury objectives;
5. Enhance & maintain close partnership with business units and company clients;
6. Reduce system cost & bank fees in particular by strong negotiations with our banking partners;
7. Support businesses in the opening/closing of bank accounts and changes in account signatories. Support development of enhanced global bank account policies and ensure internal controls/compliance;
8. Actively manage treasury projects and initiatives as assigned, ensuring that all compliance aspects are addressed and internal and external reviews and approvals are obtained;
9. Meet reporting requirements on cash and debt positions by accessing the various systems in use;
10. Follow up with the price and quality of banking services provided to business units;
11. Assist in acquisitions and divestitures with regards to treasury integration;
12. Oversee the bank guarantee issuance process and provide support to improve the follow up and the tracking of matured bank guarantees and cost;
13. Ascertain bank guarantee requirements and establish the required bank guarantee lines if necessary;
14. Negotiate for favorable bank guarantee pricing with the chosen partner bank;
15. Provide guidance to all parties concerned in the bank guarantee language and bank guarantee issuance process;
16. Provide support to improve the follow up and the tracking of outstanding and matured bank guarantees;
17. Work with banks, contract management, Legal to streamline the bank guarantee process;
18. Managing Cash Investments of assigned subsidiaries for enhanced yield within investment guidelines;
19. Ensure that investments with each bank meet overall corporate exposure limits;
20. Evaluate investment instruments that offer higher yields that meet guidelines;
21. Working with Tax, Legal and the business, support subsidiaries funding requirements through equity injections and/or loans, internal and external Structure and execute the funding requirements, including documentation and obtaining approvals;
22. Introduce/Expand Supply Chain Financing, ensuring sound business case and compliance with Accounting requirements;
23. Ensure smooth running of programs, identify issues before they surface and be pro-active in resolving issues;
24. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Economic University Degree – preferred in accounting, a Master’s degree (e.g. MBA) would be highly desirable;
Language skills: Proficient in Albanian and very good command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of any other language would be an asset;
Minimum 6 years of Corporate Treasury experience;
Strong business acumen of accounting. Minimum 2 years of people management / functional leadership responsibility;
Sound experience in project management and project accounting;
