A start-up telecommunications and technology company is looking for an experienced Optical Network Planning Engineer with the following skills:
- At least 5 years telecommunications/data network planning, design, engineering optimization, and testing.
- Experience in conducting network capacity and traffic analysis, bandwidth engineering, switched and transmission backbone and/or access to other networks are very beneficial.
- Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Write formal delivery methods of procedures
- Analysis of short and long term capacity requirements for transmission. Conduct economic and traffic growth to determine impact on network capacity and development plans.
- Develop alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.
- Must have strong knowledge of telecommunication with background in service providers such as wireless/cable/ISP operators preferably in HFC and ADSL 2 technology.
- Possess emerging market trend savvy such as voice/data convergence/multicast.
- Must possess solid interpersonal skills, including team leadership, organizational, planning, and verbal and written communications.
