SOS Children’s Villages Albania is a private,nongovernmental and social development organization, which makes every attemptto offer a permanent home to the children who have lost their parents or forseveral reasons have no possibility to live with them. The SOS Children’sVillage also strongly support the children and the families in need throughimplementation of different projects aiming at the further development of theircapacities.

The work in SOS Children’s Villages stands on fourprinciples: mother, brother and sisters, house and village.

SOSChildren’s Villages Albania is looking for a suitableperson for the position of Human Resources Manager. Contractduration one year.


The HR Manager provides services, advice, controlling and maintenance to the NationalDirector, Facility Heads and national key functions regarding Human Resources in line withorganization policies. He / she supports them in their responsibility ofensuring, setting up, developing, monitoring, evaluating and maintainingqualitative Human Resources Development systems of the national organization.

Main duties:

Ü To be responsible for the development, coordination, control, evaluationand maintenance of HR work within the National Association. In this role, toensure the implementation of the HR Manual standards in the NationalAssociation (National Office, facilities/programmes) and to be responsible inclose cooperation with the line management and the national key functions forthe development, implementation and evaluation of concepts according to theorganisation’s continental and global standards and guidelines as well as localrequirements
Ü To ensure the implementation, and further developmentof all standards, guidelines, systems and processes related to the HR areasbased on the HR cycle; Personnel Planning & Job Design, Recruitment &Selection, Orientation & Integration, Learning, Development & CareerDevelopment, Performance Management, Phase-out/ Retirement.
Ü As an owner and driver of the compensation process toensure the implementation of the system and yearly review
Ü To ensure the organisation and evaluation ofsupporting activities like supervision, coaching and team development based onneeds.
Ü To be responsible for nurturing the SOS Brand forrecognition value of the organisation within the HR community.
Ü To design recruitment processes for all co-workersbased on planning, needs and requests;
Ü To support leaders in their responsibility to providesupport to SOS mothers in HR field.
Basic Requirements:

Ü University degree in Human Resources, Management,Business Administration, Law, Economics, Psychology or a similar field relatedto Human Resources
Ü At least, 5 years working experience in the field of HR
Ü Good knowledge of local labour law
Ü Experience in the field of Human Resources Developmentsuch as training, recruitment, performance management, retention of staff, etc
Ü Good command of English, written and spoken
Ü Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ü Collaborative way of work fostering integration andteamwork
Ü Strategic, analytical and process thinking abilities
Ü Ability to develop concepts and capability ofpresenting information in clear and logical manner
Ü Ability to work under high pressure; Pro-activeapproach

Preferred

Ü Experience in organisational development and changeprocesses
Ü Experience of working in an NGO
Ü Experience in personnel administration
