It Expert Job Description
• Configure, upgrade, setup, and install computer hardware, software, and other equipment such as network routers, switches, phones, Internet modems, and Ethernet cabling
• Provide first line technical and desk side user support for all software, hardware, network, and telecommunications problems
• Log, prioritize and track service requests
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or connectivity problems, escalate problems/tasks when appropriate to internal IT senior staff or third party vendors in accordance with established procedures
• Respond to move, add, change requests including physically moving technology, running cabling, working on and below counters and desks, and transporting equipment between sites
• Maintain and update software and install approved hot fixes and patches
• Provide individual and/or group instruction and training to users on computer technologies
• Coordinate with other IT staff and users to identify the need for new systems or re-engineering of existing systems and recommend enhancements and modifications to improve IT operations
IT EXPERT DESIRED PROFILE
• Master of Science in informatics, preferred
• Hands –on experience in managing small business IT systems, wireless network, date backup and storage, printing and help desk functions
• Knowledge to Visual Basic, HTML, experience in web page development and maintenance
• Minimum three years of proven working experience
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
