Duties
• Develop reports for new and existing software packages of INFO-Telecom
• Perform systems design work to develop or procure applications
• Perform maintenance and support for all billing software packages provided under INFO-Telecom
• Liaise with INFO-Telecom software development team to solve software related issues and to develop and upgrade maintenance plans for software packages
• Coordinates system development teams (where necessary)
• Train users in the use of information systems tools
Essential Functions
Include the following.
• Develop and maintains applications involving complex programs.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and develop interface to make operation possible.
• Develops reports for new and existing software packages of INFO-Telecom.
• Performs systems design work to develop or procure applications meeting the INFO-Telecom’s requirements.
• With the assistance of the Network Administrator performs maintenance and provides support for all software packages provided under INFO-Telecom. These include:
1. SQL Server
2. APACHE
3. Infrastructure Elements
• Liaises with INFO-Telecom software building team to solve software related issues and to develop upgrade and maintenance plans for software packages.
• Successfully trains users in the use of information systems tools.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or any Engineering or Science degree would be acceptable.
2. Two to four years software development experience using one or several technologies such as PHP, ASPX, JS, XML, AJAX , SQL (medium to advanced skill required)
3. Competency in at least one programming language and its correlation with one SQL backend is a must.
4. Networking knowledge on Layer 2 and Layer 3 and above are optional but are considered as added values to the CV.
5. Voice on TDM/IP knowledge are optional but are considered as added values to the CV.
6. Linux administration is optional but is considered as added value to the CV.
7. Individual must demonstrate competency in all areas of the analysis and design process of information systems and must also be competent to handle a variety of programming assignments including block diagramming, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing information systems.
Terms of Appointment
The appointment will be on a contractual basis for a period of one (1) year in the first instance with the possibility of renewal.
An attractive compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications will be offered.
