The company is a joint group of experts in the Human Resources area.
On behalf of our client, a well known company in Qatar we are looking for a potential candidate for the position of Construction Manager.
General Summary: Ensure that the construction team provides consistent, high – quality, cost – effective and timely deliverable and products. Oversees guides and manages the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers and employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages, expedites and supports consultants and contractor document submits, budgets and schedules
• Maintains and fosters contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors and material suppliers
• Assists with the development of new engineering standards, maintains and improves existing standards/guidelines
• Acts as a subject matter expert regarding some engineering activities
• Interacts closely with internal teams to ensure that project needs and objectives are met
• Prepares construction – related documents, exhibits, budgets, specifications, schedules and request for proposals
• Produces quality engineering plans, studies and specifications while ensuring compliance with department, project, company and industry requirements and standards
• Interprets plans, specifications, drawings and documents related to engineering and construction
• Leads or assists with investigations of construction issues
• Additional duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Civil or Architectural Engineering
• 7-10 years relevant experience in Infrastructure and Roads projects
• 2 years of experience in Managerial or Supervisory level
• Knowledge of the whole construction principles, process, methods and equipment
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
• Strong communication skills
