Job description
The Department of Computer Engineering is seeking applications for a tenure track position. The candidate is expected to:
• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses,
• supervise master and doctoral students.
• have an established publication record
• establish a research team and work as research leader in his/her field of expertise
• actively conduct administrative tasks of the department and of the university.
We wish to hire outstanding faculty who can contribute to research towards telecommunication circuits, mobile communication, antennas and signal propagation, digital data transmission, digital signal processing, satellite communication, and related fields.
Special for this appointment is that it comes with a specific responsibility for regional collaboration with the industry within the field of subject. One goal is to further develop collaboration with regional companies to carry out R&D projects. Furthermore, it includes work to develop collaboration between the university, the industry, and the surrounding society in general. The work may also involve the development of contract educations as well as various types of academic administrative tasks within the university.
Requirements PhD in Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
Assessment criteria Successful candidates will have a PhD, normally obtained in the last ten years, and an exceptional research record, as judged by the strength of the application materials including publications and other research artifacts developed during the candidate's PhD program and postdoctoral career, if applicable. The application materials must also demonstrate that the candidate shows promise as an excellent teacher and advisor, and has potential to become an innovative and independent researcher and leader in his or her field. Good communication skills in English in both speech and writing.
