The company is a joint group of experts in the Human Resources area.
Our client is a successful company operating in Distribution.
We are looking for a potential candidate for the position of Purchasing Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Purchasing Manager

General Summary: Responsible for getting the best deals on goods and services for the organization.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
The goal of purchasing manager is to get the highest quality goods and services at the lowest prices. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, planning, production, inventory control, quality control.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:
-Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers
-Implement procurement strategy and policies
-Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers
-Lead the procurement group in all phases
-Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in
accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions
-Help to lower the cost and secure agreements
-Assist department in developing and implementing purchasing strategies for products

REPORTING:
• Reports directly to CEO

QUALIFICATIONS:
A university degree in Business is preferred; a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Influencing, persuading, coaching and negotiating skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
