TIRANA BANK, one of the leading banks in Albania and member of Balfin Group, is seeking to welcome a skilled candidate to join our Compliance Department on temporary basis, 1 year contract, in the following position:

Overall Job Definition

Regulatory Compliance Officer is responsible for monitoring the changes of Regulatory Framework. He/she is also responsible for providing opinions of bank’s policies and procedures form the regulatory point of view and ensure they are in compliance to rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Monitors the changes of the Regulatory Framework, manages and updates the Compliance Legal Chart accordingly;
  • Monitors the timely drafting of the procedures (from other departments) that have been defined as necessary due to legal changes;
  • Prepares draft procedures relevant to the compliance regulatory field and provides opinions over other departments’ policies and procedures from a regulatory point of view;
  • Performs quarterly controls related to regulatory compliance regulatory field (customers’ complaints, data privacy, etc.) and drafts the relevant reports;
  • Provides opinions related to regulatory compliance issues - conflict of interest, transparency, personal data protection, customer complaints, design of new products, advertisements of products & services;
  • Manages the correspondence with various inquiries from Public Authorities (Data Protection Commissioner, Competition Authority, Consumer Protection, etc.);
  • Coordinates the implementation of data privacy requirements as per GDPR and local legal framework;
  • Informs and advises the staff who process personal data of their obligations as per the data protection policy of the bank;
  • Monitors compliance with the data protection policy of the bank, including the assignment of responsibilities, awareness-raising of staff involved in the processing operations;
  • Evaluates the impact assessment on data protection matters performed by the organizational unit that is obtaining the outsourcing service, the new processing, system, etc.;
  • Ensures all processing and/or databases are registered with the DPO;
  • Evaluates the outsourcing service contracts on data privacy matters;
  • Performs audits, in collaboration with Compliance Manager, related to issues raised by whistleblowing;

Competencies / Skills:


  • University degree in Law field;
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience, preferably in banking or other financial institutions;
  • Very good critical thinking & problem solving skills;
  • Have high ethical standards;
  • Be stable & persistent;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Result Oriented;
  • Team work & collaboration;
  • Very good communication Skills;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Very good knowledge of English Language in written and spoken;
