Urgent Vacancy - IT Director
Our client is a well-established international concessionaire operating successfully in Albania for a long time. On their behalf, we are currently seeking to fill an urgent vacancy for the position of IT Director.
Role:
The role of the IT Director is to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the IT Department with aim to ensure smooth, secure, and consistently updated Information Technology operations within the organization. The IT Director will report to C-Level Management
Responsibilities:
1. Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include network systems, operating systems, servers, PCs, software apps, telephones and peripherals.
2. Liaising with other departments to ascertain their technological requirements, and developing and implementing solutions that meet these requirements and are aligned with the organization's objectives.
3. Monitoring the Key Performances Indicators and working with staff to develop plans and strategies so client services can be enhanced, user effectiveness improved and innovation encouraged.
4. Developing and updating standard IT operating procedures allied to best practice, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for IT staff and all end-users.
5. Negotiating with suppliers to get the best deal, including hardware, software, maintenance service, external support and consultancy services, in collaboration with the Procurement department.
6. Managing IT staff, with responsibility for hiring, evaluation, training, guidance, disciplinary procedures and dismissals, in collaboration with the Human Resource department.
7. Creating a budget for each IT project as well as managing the capital and operation expenditures in relation with the IT department within the frame of the annual budget.
8. Providing to the Management and the Administrative Council with comprehensive and reliable reporting and analysis as per their request.
Requirements:
Education:
• University Degree in Information Technology or related filed is required. Master degree preferred.
Work experience:
• 8+ years of experience working in IT operations, at least 3 years in related management role.
Skills and Abilities:
• Fluent in English and Albanian language.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team as well as working as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively plan and implement projects with consideration of business context.
• Effective negotiation, relationship building and influencing skills.
