Fix Core Specialist/Senior Specialist


Purpose of position:

Handling supervision, operation and maintenance tasks for Albtelecom's NGN fixed core network elements:NGN Softswitches, Media & Signaling Gateways, IP Multimedia Subsystems, Session Border Controllers, Mediation and Provisioning Systems, Number Portability Platform.



Duties:


  • To follow up and monitor service availibility of all NGN fixed switching systems/networks elements;
  • To execute standard and preventive maintenance procedures to ensure 100% service availability of NGN fixed switching systems/networks nodes;
  • To execute operation procedures regarding configuration & implementation of existing and new services, subscribers, interconnection operators;
  • To perform testing and troubleshooting procedures to resolve reported issues and complaints;
  • To do detailed Traffic modeling and dimensioning of Core nodes (NGN Softswitch, MGW, SBC);
  • To audit existing Core nodes and providing recommendations for optimization;
  • To be able to work independently on High and low level design;
  • To collaborate with operators, customers and support them if might be needed;
  • To handle and follow complex issues in collaboration with all relevant teams within company;
  • To escalate the issues to vendor and follow with them up to final issue resolution;
  • To maintain and promote mutual cooperation within team;
  • To improve in continuous manner knowledge and professional skills;



Skills:

  • Very Good Understanding of Fixed NGN interfaces & Codecs used;
  • Experience on SIGTRAN, RTP, H.248, SIP-I, SIP & RFC 3261, RFC 2848, RFC 2833 protocols;
  • Interconnect strategies- Both TDM and IP based International and National;
  • Basic knowledge of IP/MPLS, VPNs, VLANs, LAN switches;
  • Good understanding of OSS/EMS;
  • Familiar with ZTE NGN platforms is a plus;
  • Very good knowledge of English Language;
  • Very good communication and team working abilities;
  • Availability to work overtime when needed;


Experience


  • At least 1 year of similar experience;



Education


  • University Degree in Telecommunication/Computer Science /Computer Engineering /Electronic;
