Tirana International Airport SHPK (“TIA”) is seeking for a
CONTRACT MANAGER

who will report to the Director of the Asset Management and Environment Department.

Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:
(for indicative purposes only. The responsibilities listed below can be subject of change upon recruitment)

  • Supports the coordination of department deliverables and ensures compliance related to the company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Interacts with internal and external customers on matters of department administration
  • Generates documents, submittals, and reports related to the department. Presents factual information, composes memoranda, minutes and reports, and drafts contractual/technical provisions and supporting documents
  • Analyze and report on specific potential risks associated with department provision
  • Responsible for integration of the contractual risks in the risk register including development, execution (managed execution) and tracking of risk mitigation measures
  • Assist in management and coordination of department document Control System
  • Provide systematic setup of generating contemporary records within the project and ensure adherence by the project team
  • Prepare change orders and variations including necessary substantiation considering support and optimization of scheduling tasks (e.g. Time Impact Analysis) as well as commercial assessment of the changes in correlation with the relevant departments
  • Draft notices of impact of any program element that has effected or may affect the scope, time or cost of a project
  • Participation in external project meetings alongside with the department Director or as delegated
  • Draw up a Contract Change Management Strategy for the services and project meeting the project requirements
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team and to external parties
  • Active support in the review process of relevant policies, procedures, manuals, SOPs, in relation to all departmental processes
  • Responsible to support the specialists within the department for contractual correspondence regarding matters concerning baselines (scope, quality, time) and review outgoing correspondence to ensure that all formal external project communication is not generating risks for company and aligned with the contractual strategies
Requirements of the position:

  • Master Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in administration or management.
  • Experience in major civil conduction projects is an advantage
  • At least 5 working year experience in related job responsibilities
  • Good knowledge of understanding contract technical and legal requirements. Experience with construction contract (FIDIC) is an asset
  • Ability to works effectively as part of a team
  • Hardworking personality with a systematic and analytical mind-set
  • Ability to prepare quality reports; writing letter; preparing and delivering effective presentations
  • Committed to providing a high standard of service and continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at Microsoft Office software, Document Control Center (DCC) software, Contract Management software
  • Fluent in English language
