Radio Optimization Engineer
Role purpose:
Analyse the radio Network Performance & perform optimization activities related to SW & parameters to improve the Customer Experience
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Perform analysis of network KPI’s, troubleshoot issues, and be involved hands-on with day-to-day performance management / optimization functions for assigned areas of the network.
• Perform parameter audits, data-fill parameters, conduct, pre-post analysis, and prepare performance reports.
• Identify and resolve data performance issues – e.g. GSM/UMTS/LTE outage, latency, throughput, failed connection attempts, and drop connections.
• Work with the Configuration and management team along with the technical support teams, to resolve and address any hardware/technical issues and implement the required changes.
• Responsible for new features implementation, tuning GSM/UMTS/ LTE radio network parameters.
• Proactively look for areas to improve GSM/UMTS/LTE network performance and to meet network KPIs.
• Manage the resolution of the complaints closely collaborating with COPs & Tech support teams.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with GSM/UMTS/LTE Optimization.
• Experience working with OSS and Performance Management platform (Nokia / Ericsson) for parameter retrieval/changes, alarm monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of network diagnostic tools/commands, data networking protocols, and experience in tuning UMTS/LTE parameters for data services coupled with UMTS CS services and LTE CSFB.
• Proficient with analysis of drive test data, perform Layer-3 analysis, troubleshoot issues, and propose recommendations.
• Good knowledge of 3GPP standards, GSM/UMTS/LTE RAN Air Interface, L3 signalling, and RAN Functionality.
• Experience with monitoring and analysis of post launch critical KPIs Retain-ability., Accessibility, Integrity, Mobility, ISHO optimization, load balancing and new feature activation.
• Good knowledge of Albanian and English language (written and spoken)
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Telecom Engineering master degree,
• Qualification for Planning & Optimization trainings
• Driving license
