Cleaner in Doha (Qatar) (F)
Job Purpose:
Seeking a professional cleaner to perform a variety cleaning and maintenance duties. Cleaner will be in charge of maintaining all public and private spaces to employer standards. Duties will include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and bathroom services. Attention to detail and a positive attitude a must. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.
Requirements:
· General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning
· Able to follow verbal directions
· Ability to work well alone, or with a partner or team
· Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties
· Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines
· Excellent time management skills
· Able to assist team members with cleaning duties when needed
· Pays attention to detail when cleaning
· Organized and able to follow a schedule
· High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education
· Physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time
· Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time
· Previous experience cleaning preferred; training will be provided
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
· Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
· Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
· Suction cleaning carpeted areas and “spot” cleaning carpets.
· Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
· Using electrically powered pick up machines.
· To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
· To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required within the contract.
· To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains.
· The use of chemical agents as directed by the Supervising Officer in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training.
· To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level, during periodic cleaning maintenance programmers.
· Cleaners employed in domestic science areas are required to clean cookers and work surface areas.
· To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
