Finance Officer allocated in the main office in Tirana.

POSITION: FINANCE OFFICER
REPORT TO: FINANCE COORDINATOR

Scope of the Role:


Reporting to the Line Manager, the finance officer has responsibility and autonomy to plan and manage their own work for accurate and timely response in accordance with procedures and Month-end time timetable guidance issued by line Manager. The role has no line management responsibility.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


The Job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues

1. Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions thereby contributing to the provision of financial information to stakeholders.
•To process all forms of payments and receipts; ensuring all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals; ensuring correct approval, coding and matching
•To maintain sales ledger, purchase ledger and nominal ledgers.
•To pay supplier invoices and staff expenses by bank PO, BACS or cash.
• To review the monthly payroll and to ensure the timely payment of payroll taxes, contributions and salaries.
•To perform a monthly bank reconciliation
•To maintain the fixed assets register and perform a quarterly stock count
•To liaise with and respond to audit queries from the external auditors and to support in the preparation of the audited financial statements.

2. Accurate and Timely Filing
•Ensure the daily and accurate filing of invoices and supporting documentation in accordance with the organization’s current system.

3. Maintain debtors and creditors control accounts and perform a monthly reconciliation
•Prepare analysis of accounts
•Reconciliation of receipts and payments
•Reconciliation and analysis of General ledger to sub-ledger debtor and creditor accounts.

4. To support the department and its wider stakeholders
•To comply with IRW’s and IRAL local policies and procedures in undertaking the above roles and responsibilities.
•To undertake any other reasonable duties that are consistent with the job and its
level of responsibility as and when required by the Line Manager and the Regional Finance Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and empathy with Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to IR’s vision and mission. This section should detail the requirements of the role in the following sections:
EXPERIENCE
• A strong customer service focus, and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees and external stakeholders/suppliers and customers
• The ability to work effectively on their own and to meet deadlines.
• High level of computer literacy, experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Computerized accounting payables and receivables experience
• AX Dynamics experience would be an advantage for this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• High attention to detail and orderly approach to processing in a high volume, fast pace environment.
• A good level of general knowledge and awareness of financial issues.
• Proven understanding of accounting principles and concepts (e. g accounting for payables and receivables.)
• Ability to prepare, analyse and verify routine financial documents, statements and reports
• Ability to show confidence in communicating with others.
• A good level of literacy skills
• The ability to understand financial information and manipulate complex data.
