Facilities Management Specialist
To proactively lead and manage delivery of ‘hard’ and ‘soft’facilities services to a geographically dispersed portfolio. And to ensurespecialist support for these services is provided 24/7 and includes all office,call centre, warehouse, MTX and retail locations.
To ensure the reliability and operation of the engineeringservices, minimizing business risk, delivering value for money and is alignedwith the overall Property Department strategy. In fully supporting the property matrix support philosophy, this rolealso provides support to the Head of Property and their teams activities.
The role will require the formulation of budgets andperformance standards for the delivery of services to deliver best practice andcontinuous improvements, which is aligned to customer needs. This to beundertaken as a part of an integrated Property Team.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
· In addition to all of the deliverables listedbelow, the prime objective for this role is to ensure that all engineeringservices are functioning to agreed standards which deliver efficientoperational space and comfortable working environments, appropriate to supportbusiness needs.
· This role actively works with and supports theHead of Property and their team in delivering consistent and effective FMservices across the portfolio, in addition to supporting the capital projectsand property strategy development.
· To develop, implement and deliver a robust FMstrategy that forms an integral part of the overall Property objectives.
· To develop and drive consistent standards ofoperational performance across the property portfolio, considering theobjectives of technology, networks and retail departments.
· To drive and deliver a ‘customer first’ approachensuring an ethos for ‘customer care’ throughout the team, aligning servicesprovision with customer needs, and regular review of performance.
· To deliver cost effectiveness and efficienciesin all aspects of the FM operation.
· To deliver the high standards of health andsafety best practice ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation andensuring the adoption of good working practices within the team of employeesand contractors.
· Effectively manage business risk exposures, inrelation to engineering operations activities.
· Preparation and overall responsibility for the‘facilities operations’ agreed revenue and capital budgets and the achievementof all targets.
· Develop appropriate relationships withcolleagues in the company, and external customers, establishing credibility andgaining support from internal ‘customers’ and external suppliers.
· Act as an ‘advisor’ where required and developthe role of the ‘facilities operations’ function to be recognized a ‘Centre ofExcellence’ within Property and the wider business.
· To develop and implement support to an emergencyresponse strategy including appropriate business continuity arrangements.
· Be an escalation route for the resolution ofengineering issues outside of normal working hours.
· Support to the SLT with strategic planningissues for the Department.
· To deliver innovation, new ways of working, bestpractice, appropriate benchmarking.

Core competencies,knowledge and experience:
· Proven Commercial Acumen essential
· Proven experience of negotiation andcommunication skills
· Proven experience on incident management
· Ability to gain consensus, communicate policy,build relationships and create systems/processes needed to performresponsibilities in a timely, effective and cost efficient manner

Must have technical /professional qualifications:
· Qualified to degree standard in a relatedFacilities Management discipline (Engineering, Project Management, FM, BuildingServices) and having operated with a multi-site property managementresponsibility in the past.
· Minimum 5 years post qualification experience
· Strong overall technical knowledge and goodunderstanding of wider property related areas.
· Professional qualification with relevant body
· H&S training and certifications aredesirable
· Qualified in project management or proven trackrecord of small/medium project delivery desirable
· Thorough understanding of Vodafone network andeffective hard service delivery.
· An attitude that is positive and enjoyscollaborative working with colleagues.
· Engineering expertise/competencies to makeresponsible decisions, which are both technically sound and take into accountthe risks and impacts of the business needs.
· Strong and logical approach to problem solvingand decision making.
· A leader, who will have personal credibility andable to work as a committed member of a team.
· Commercial and negotiation skills.
· Financial management capability
· Awareness of relevant legislation includingworkplace health and safety, environmental, COSHH, etc.
· Excellent customer management skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
