Transmission Senior Specialist

Purpose of position:
Monitor and follow up closely the performance of equipment in transmission network for their normal functioning.

Main Duties

  • Configuration, operation and back office support for different transmission systems like: DWDM, NEC, Huawei, Wireless (Motorola, Ceragon). On site invervention.
  • Follows all alarms and problems that occur in network transmission equipment and intervenes to resolve them.
  • Intervenes locally or remotely for the normal functioning of the network and elimination of defects during working hours or out of working hours in cases when is required.
  • Receives and processes e-mails, reports, correspondence, etc.. And returns response in time.
  • Maintains and collates documents for all devices in the transmission network. Keep information database.
  • Performs data maintenance for different services that are configured and connected to the transmission network equipments.
  • Tests transmission systems in the transmission network for their correct operation and notifies if it is necessary to intervene on these devices.
  • Makes plans for network expansion or optimization.
  • Report immediately any incident related to Information Security Management System.
  • Comply with Quality Policy, Information Security Policy, and all company procedures and regulations.
Skills

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, Windows, Google Earth, Remote Access (VPN, Team Viewer), and Vendor related management platforms.
  • Knowledge of transmission engineering principles and procedures. Very good knowledge of network monitoring systems: SuperGuard+, PNMS, Spectral Wave MN 9100, NetNumen T31, IManager U2000, Connect (Aircom), Wireless Manager, FibeAir.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and problem solving skills, decision making skills, effective verbal and listening communications skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)



Experience

  • Five or more years’ experience in the field of telecommunications (Mobile & Fixed networks).

Education

  • University Degree in the field of Telecommunication/Electronics.
