Cable Project Senior Specialist/Expert


Purpose of the position:

The main purpose of the position is to update, keep in control the GIS system of the Albtelecom, the cable network including the Copper Cable network and Fiber Optic Network. The GIS maps system is very important for Albtelecom as it used both from technical departments and sales departments. Also the employee will prepare design projects for the expansion and maintenance of the fixed cable network.

Duties :

· Preparation of all the updates, changes in GIS maps system of Albtelecom for Copper network system based on the information received from Field engineers, Acceptance forms etc.
· Preparation of all the updates, changes in GIS maps system of Albtelecom for Fiber Optic network system based on the information received from Field engineers, Acceptance forms etc.
· Coordinating with other departments involved for the development of new features of the system.
· Preparation of the AKEP request reports based on the information received from fixed network managers and mobile network managers.
· Preparation of the maps/drawings for the Radiation reports as per request of mobile network engineers.
· Preparation of the Network maps updates for 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] parties as companies, institutions, Private persons based on their requests in the protocol office of Albtelecom.
· Preparation of daily/periodically reports as requested by manager.
· Responsible for checking and following the correction if necessary of the information received on network changes in GIS as requested by field engineers.
· Prepare design and/or cost estimation for the connection of new customers building with FO and/or copper cable as requested by manager.
· Prepare design and/or cost estimation for the request for preventive maintenance with FO and/or copper cable as requested by manager.
· Cooperation with other departments/ group for finding the best solution for any project request for expansion of the network.
· Supports with the preparation of documentation like photocopies, preparation of folders etc. as requested by manager.


Skills :

· Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
· Knowledge of Office Package, AUTOCAD, MAPINFO, GIS and other related engineering programs.
· Knowledge of telecommunication networks with copper and FO cables.
· Knowledge of civil works
· Knowledge of the laws, especially the ones connected with construction of telecommunication networks and law for construction in general will be a plus.
· Very good communication skills.
· Fast adaption to position to work, energetic, flexible and with full wish to learn and progress
· Very good knowledge of English
· Great attention to detail


Experience

· Minimum 3 years in similar field, 2 of them in telecommunication sector as designer of fixed network projects.

Education

· Master degree as Electronic Engineer / Telecommunication or related fields
