The Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania (SHUKALB) is seeking to hire a full-time person to fill the position of Course Development Specialist for the project "Sustainable Water Sector Capacity Development in Albania".
Position summary:

Responsible for developing and/or adapting training course materials in the Albanian language on Utility Management/ Waste water/ Water Supply topics. Training course materials would be organized into a Trainer's Manual, Trainee Guide and supported Power Point training aid. Course development will be a teaming arrangement with local experts led by the Course Development Specialist.
Job Specifications:

· Research and gather information on the course topic.
· Process and adopt course materials in order to best suit the Water Sector in Albania.
· Create trainers' guidelines and trainee's manuals.
· Create power point presentation for the developed courses.
· Arrange translation of courses developed and validate technical terminology of translated material.
· Interact with International as well as Local Experts to receive their input for the course development.
· Establish and maintain an effective and professional communication with Local Experts.
· Assist Training Manager in arranging the course delivery.
· Attend training courses delivered by the Project to collect and process feedback from participants.
· Review course materials to reflect feedback given from course training participants.

  • Other related duties.
Education and Experience Required:

· A university degree in Water Engineering or Business Administration.
· 3 - 5 years of work experience in some area of the water sector.

  • Strong written skills in Albanian with very good, both oral and written, abilities in English.
Skills Required:

· Initiative and ability to work with little direct supervision.
· Effective communication skills both verbal and written with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Project.
· Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software including Excel.
· Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Able to travel occasionally within the country and in the region.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
