The Position:
Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Tirana, Albania
Reporting Line: Country Manager
Main Functions:
· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
· Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
· Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
· Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions.
· Supports budget and forecasting activities.
Education/Experience:
· Graduate degree in accounting, finance
· 3-5 years of experience in accounting, related role within financial services, banking, microfinance, consumer lending
· At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role within finance, accounting
· In depth knowledge of financial and integrated accounting systems
· Experience with regulations regarding non-banking financial institutions
Skills, Knowledge :
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
· Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
· Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to direct and supervise
· Proficiency in English language
