Agrocon Albania is an Albanian private company which develops its activity in the field of agriculture. Such activities consist in the production of fresh vegetables in the protected areas and open field and, wholesale of fresh vegetables in Albania and abroad.
Roles and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, payment and auditing procedures in line with Group directives.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting and auditing standards.
  • Responsible for the fixed asset management of the companies
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports
  • Ensure timely and reliable management reporting to the CEO, CFO and management staff
  • Create additional cost analyses and reports as requested by management
  • Establish cost accounting schemes in line with the industry’s standards
  • Supervise accounting, making sure that actual costs are booked correctly per cost centers, and overall production results and profitability are tracked and reported accurately and timely.
  • Interact with other managers to provide support through financial and information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Strictly monitor production costs, report on variances and pinpoint areas for cost reduction/efficencies
  • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, payments
  • Ensure related parties balances and volumes of transactions are reconciled on regular basis
  • Forecast cash flow position and needs, make sure there are sufficient funds to meet operational and capital requirements
  • Maintain banking relationship for day-to-day operations and proper management of bank accounts
  • Detect needs for improvements in automated financial information systems for the company
  • Mentor/coach personnel under direct supervision
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University Degree – in finance / accounting;
  • Language skills: Albanian and good knowledge of English language;
  • Minimum 5 years progressing business and/or accounting experience;
  • Minimum 2 years of people management and/or functional responsibility;
  • Previous experience in production/agribusiness companies is an advantage;
  • Experience in cost management and cost accounting;
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, management reporting;
  • Strong analytical skills, stress resistant;
  • Self motivator, capable of leading and motivating people;
  • Good communicator, both oral and written;
  • Able and willing to frequent travel to the site
