[FONT=&quot]The Health for All Project in Albania (HAP) is funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) of the Swiss Government and is being implemented by a consortium of three organizations: the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, and the NGOs Terres des hommes and Save the Children. The Project started in January 2015 and has an implementation timeframe of 4 years. Its overall goal is that the Albanian population, including the most vulnerable, benefit from better health due to improved primary health care services and health promotion activities.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]General information about Terre des hommes Foundation[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Terre des hommes (Tdh), a Swiss foundation based in Lausanne, without political, racial or confessional bias, has been active in Albania since 1993. Based on its Charter and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Terre des hommes intervenes in 35 countries to improve the situation of children, to protect their fundamental rights and to guarantee their rights and access to healthcare. In Albania, Terre des hommes has been implementing projects for over 12 years to tackle issues of child trafficking and child protection.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Terre des hommes is seeking to recruit a Continuing Medical Education Expert to [/FONT][FONT=&quot]support the project during implementation of activities of “Health for All Project (HAP)”.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:[/FONT]

  • [FONT=&quot]Support the development of continuous medical education (CME) strategies for doctors and nurses in line with national priorities; [/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Identify the key areas and assess the needs to enhance the capacity of the PHC services to respond to: the evolving challenges, the health risks of the population, and the need to provide high quality standards of healthcare;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Keep continuous engagement with the National Centre for Continuing Education (NCCE), proposing initiatives and taking care of their implementation (once approved), in order to strengthen the functions and capacities of the NCCE;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Identify opportunities for the delivery of training activities for health professionals compatible with CME activities of HAP, planning and implementing them;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Follow up and oversee all training activities with doctors and nurses in the context of CME activities of HAP, in collaboration with authorities and partners;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Perform the necessary technical work to make e-learning activities supported by HAP to comply with the requirements of accreditation and recertification according to the adopted CME rules;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]In close collaboration with NCCE, MoH and Health Insurance Fund pursue models of implementation that can assure CME system is funded through PHC financing system in Albania;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Provide assistance for the set up and systematically follow up the development of the Master in Health Management being established at the Faculty of Public Health;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Assist the selection process of the students for the Master in Health Management, following up their academic performance and assisting the organisation and follow up of their practical assignments during the course;[/FONT]
  • [FONT=&quot]Evaluate the return of those who successfully conclude the Master course to their working places in the health system and identify the improvements that may take place as effect of the improved expertise and knowledge.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Qualifications and experiences[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Advanced degree in health, preferably a medical degree with public health post-graduation;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Excellent command of English and Albanian languages, both verbal and written;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Good knowledge of the Albanian health system;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Proven ability to maintain excellent relationships with Local and Central Government staff and to engage effectively with high level officials; [/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Excellent ability to work both independently and in consultation and cooperation with others;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Excellent organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure; [/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Commitment to and understanding of HAP’s aims, values and principles;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Availability and ability to travel and work in the regions of HAP activities (Diber and Fier);[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]At least 5 years of experience in teaching health professionals;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Excellent knowledge of national medical standards and protocols;[/FONT]
· [FONT=&quot]Demonstrated experience in coordinating training for different health professionals[/FONT]
